My Life: Monster Hands {Chesapeake Photography}

In the spirit of my New Years resolution to slow down and not sweat the small stuff, this morning we made monster hands. Instead of yelling about how "we color on paper" or "don't get that on the table" I just said forget it. When, other then childhood, can you just color where you want to. It's washable! In this helicopter parenting, pinterest crafts, keeping up with the facebook jones' way of life, we get lost. We want everyone only to see the perfect parents we are to our perfect kids. But is that always real? Are we even happy when we are putting up that facade. It doesn't always have to have shinny lights and loud sounds, computer games, fancy toys, the latest digital whatevers.  Happiness and joy can be as simple as coloring our hands green. So today, we spent the morning together, in our messy dinning room, in our pjs, with just paper and markers, and we made monster hands.
